Your Personal Data collected from the Site are processed by the Firm as the controller. 1. PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy sets out our approach to the processing of the Personal Data we collect about you and the purposes for which we process it. It also describes your rights with respect to our processing of your Personal Information.

4. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT? AND WHY

We may collect your Personal Data either in the context of requests for information or quotations that you may send us (the procedure is indicated in the "contact" section), when you send us your application for a position or an internship or when you subscribe to our newsletter.

In this context, you may be required to communicate the following information to us:

  • your full name and function ;

  • Your contact information (i.e., phone number, email address and mailing address);

  • your payment data;

  • Relevant information required by "Know Your Client" or anti-money laundering regulations and in the context of new client intake procedures. This may include evidence of the source of funds, at the beginning of the relationship and sometimes on a regular basis throughout our relationship with clients, which information may be requested and/or obtained from third parties. Sources of verification may include documentation we request from prospects and/or through the use of online sources;

  • any other information relevant to our Services.

This data is collected exclusively and directly from you.

 The processing of your Personal Data is mainly intended to :

  • verify your identity;

  • provide our Services;

  • improve, develop and market new services;

  • Responding to your requests on the Site or in connection with our Services;

We may use your Personal Data for the following purposes, which have as their legal basis the legitimate interest of the Firm:

Our Services
The data collected is processed within the framework of the realization of the mission that you entrust to us, to the exclusion of any other use. Without this data, we are not able to treat your requests and to carry out the provision of Services, if necessary.

Processing your applications
The data collected is processed as part of our recruitment process and, where applicable, for the purposes of your employment.

Business management and compliance with the law
We may also process your Personal Data for the purposes of our business and compliance with the law:

  • compliance with our legal obligations (including to any regulatory authority or regulatory body having jurisdiction over the provision of legal services, know-your-client or anti-money laundering obligations, conflict of interest obligations or similar obligations, but not limited to maintaining mandatory insurance);

  • protect the rights of third parties; and

  • as part of a business transaction, such as a merger, restructuring or divestiture.

In order to keep you informed of our news and new services, the Firm prepares and sends you its newsletter, invitations to events or conferences and information by email and/or post. 6. WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may disclose your Personal Information as described below, when necessary and, if applicable, with your prior consent:

  • For the defense of our rights: this may include our professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants; public or regulatory authorities; insurance companies providing professional liability insurance coverage; regulatory bodies; tax authorities; commercial and company registries;

  • For the performance of additional services, in particular our partners with whom we outsource certain services, including, in particular, confidential document destruction services, computer system providers or software publishers, information and document storage providers; postal or private messaging service providers who help us, for example, to deliver documents relating to a case.

Other than in the cases listed above, the Firm does not share or transfer your Data.

Special circumstances may require us to share your Data with our partners (lawyers, economists, translators, bailiffs...) to provide the Services in the most efficient way.

We have obtained the appropriate guarantees from all our service providers and subcontractors with regard to personal data.

7. OUR USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING DEVICES

8. TRANSFER OF YOUR DATA

The Firm does not transfer any of your Data, other than to its provider Squarespace, located in the United States.

Indeed, the Firm uses the Squarespace platform to host and maintain its Website. Squarespace makes every effort to comply with legal obligations applicable to the protection of personal data. Squarespace is PrivacyShield certified. This is a self-certification mechanism for companies established in the United States. The Privacy Shield has been recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred to the United States. 9. HOW LONG YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL BE KEPT

With respect to visitors to the Site, we will retain Personal Data for three years from the date of our last interaction with you and in accordance with our obligations under the Regulation or any equivalent law applicable elsewhere in the world, or for longer periods if we are required to do so pursuant to our regulatory or professional liability obligations.

With respect to the provision of Services to a customer, we will retain Data for the duration of the contractual relationship and for at least six years from the date of our last interaction with the customer and in accordance with our obligations under the Regulation or equivalent law applicable elsewhere in the world or for longer periods if we are required to do so pursuant to our regulatory or professional liability obligations. We may then destroy such files without notice and without incurring any liability.

We may delete Data that is only used on a short-term basis, for example for specific marketing campaigns.

10. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We are committed to ensuring the security of the Data provided to us and have implemented information systems security policies and appropriate technical rules and measures to protect the Data under our control from unauthorized access, alteration, use, disclosure or unlawful destruction or accidental loss.

All of our partners and Data Processors (i.e., persons who process your Data on our behalf for the purposes set forth above) who have access to the Data and are associated with the processing of the Data are required to maintain the confidentiality of the Data.

You have the following rights with respect to the Data we hold:

Your right of access
Upon your request, we will tell you whether we are processing your Data and, if necessary, provide you with a copy of that Data (and certain other information). We may charge a reasonable fee for any additional copies you request.

Your right to rectification
In the event that the Data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request rectification.

Your right to erasure
You may ask us to delete or withdraw your Data in certain circumstances, for example, when we no longer need it or when your consent is withdrawn (as applicable).

Your right to data portability
